Caterer Permit

 

 

 

Stand Alone Caterer Permit:  This permit shall be issued to businesses that do not qualify for a Class AG, Class AR, Class B or Class C permit, but who operates a fully equipped kitchen where food is prepared for the purpose of catering functions.  The holder of this permit must derive at least 70% of their gross annual revenue from the sale of food or food-related product, and at least 40% of the gross revenue per event catered must be derived from the sale of food or food-related product.  The holder of this permit must maintain separate sales figures for alcoholic beverages.  This permit shall not be issued in lieu of a special event permit.  The holder of this permit can only cater events in an area in which the sale of alcoholic beverages has been authorized by local option election and with permission from the local governing authority.

 

 

 

Attached Caterer Permit: This permit allows holders of a Class AG, Class AR, Class B or Class C permit to sell and serve alcoholic beverages, on a temporary basis, limited to 3 days in duration, at event other than on the premises for which the holder’s regular permit is issued. Note: This permit shall only be issued to a Class B permit holder whose primary purpose is the sale of alcoholic beverages. This permit shall not be issued in lieu of a special event permit. The holder of this permit can only cater events in an area in which the sale of alcoholic beverages has been authorized by local option election and with permission from the local governing authority.
